The ₹500/Day Ads Experiment: Small Budget, Real Lessons

📖 6 min read · by Sasikumar Talks

The biggest myth in paid advertising: "you need a big budget to see results." The truth: you need a big budget to scale results. To learn — ₹500 a day is a complete laboratory. Here's the math that makes it work.

₹500/day daily budget ~20 clicks at ₹25 avg CPC 2 leads at 10% conversion ₹250 per lead Is one customer worth more than ₹250? Then scale.
Every ads decision reduces to one line of math: budget ÷ CPC × conversion% = leads. Cost per lead vs customer value decides everything.

The 14-day experiment plan

1
Days 1–3: ONE search campaign, ONE tight ad group, phrase + exact match only, conversion tracking verified before a single rupee is spent.
2
Days 4–10: check the Search Terms report daily. Every irrelevant query becomes a negative keyword. This is where beginners either learn or burn.
3
Days 11–14: compare cost per lead against what a customer is worth. Under? Raise budget 20%. Over? Fix the landing page before touching the ads.
The uncomfortable truth: most "ads don't work for me" stories are actually "my landing page leaked every click" stories. Clicks are bought; conversions are earned.
Practise the math live: the interactive Ads Budget Calculator is built into Google Ads — free Class 4, and Meta's version is Class 5.
