Advanced Course · Class 5 of 6Sales & The 7 Ps of Marketing: Turning Attention into Revenue
⏱ 30 min read · 🃏 flashcards · 📝 8-question quiz
Marketing creates opportunities; sales converts them. The classic marketing mix — the 7 Ps — is your strategy checklist before any campaign.
- Product — does it solve a painful problem better than alternatives? (For a trainer: the course outcome, not the videos, is the product.)
- Price — priced on value delivered, not hours spent. Anchoring, tiers (basic/standard/premium) and payment plans all raise conversions.
- Place — where people buy: your website, WhatsApp, marketplaces, app. Reduce every step of friction.
- Promotion — everything from Courses 1–3: SEO, social, video, ads, email.
- People — who delivers the experience: your responses, support quality, community.
- Process — the buying & delivery journey: enquiry → payment → onboarding → support. Smooth process = referrals.
- Physical evidence — proof it's real: professional website, certificates, screenshots of results, testimonials, invoices.
How to increase sales — the 5 levers
- More leads (top of funnel) — traffic + lead magnets.
- Better conversion — stronger offer: promise + proof + bonuses + risk-reversal (guarantee) + genuine deadline.
- Higher average order value — upsells, bundles, premium tier.
- More repeats — follow-up sequences, memberships, new offers to old customers (cheapest sales you'll ever make).
- Referrals — ask at the moment of success; reward both sides.
Selling conversations that don't feel salesy
Use question-based selling: What's your goal? What's blocking you? What happens if it stays blocked? Then prescribe your solution only if it truly fits, handle objections with empathy + proof ("Many students felt that; here's what happened…"), and always give a clear next step. Follow up — most sales close after the 3rd–5th touch, so persistence with value is professionalism, not annoyance.
