Check the current service status
At our 20 October 2026 09:41 UTC check (15:11 IST; 05:41 EDT), Revolut’s public UK and US status pages displayed “Partially unavailable”. That means an earlier “all systems operational” snippet, monitoring summary, or search result may simply be outdated, not necessarily wrong at the time it was shown. This is a dated retrieval, not the provider’s update timestamp or a live feed. Status can change after you read it. We did not log into customer accounts or test transactions.
The safest first step is to open the official page, not a snippet. Confirm the country shown on the page and the component that matters to you — sign-in, card payment, transfer, or business service. These are separate checks, and none of them proves that every user or every payment is affected. Likewise, a green-looking report is not proof your app is fine, while a partial outage banner is not proof your specific transaction failed. Also check the time and context of whatever report you are reading, because news stories, user reports, monitors, and provider snapshots answer different questions.
If you cannot access the app
If you cannot access the app, note the time, the symptom you saw, and any merchant or order reference in a private note. Do not assume a missing balance or transaction display means the payment was completed, cancelled, or lost. If the same purchase might be attempted again, first reconcile its state with the merchant and official support where you can access them. That is prudent editorial caution, not a verified instruction to cancel or retry a payment. Do not treat a server outage as a reason to reinstall the app, delete app data, use a VPN, or disable security features.
Pending card payments versus bank transfers
Pending card purchases and bank transfers follow different processes. For a pending card purchase, Revolut describes an authorized payment that has not yet been fully processed, with funds temporarily blocked. Check the individual card transaction’s Status for its reversal date. Revolut says it cannot cancel a pending card payment before the date shown in the app. These card-payment rules should not be applied to bank transfers.
Revolut UK help: pending card payments
An incoming bank transfer marked pending may be awaiting final checks before the money is released. An outgoing bank transfer can remain pending for processing checks, additional information, recipient-detail issues, or other reasons described in the transfer guidance. Check the transfer’s own status and the help page appropriate to its direction and your country. A general service-recovery announcement does not confirm that a particular payment or transfer has completed or that a card hold has cleared.

Avoid impersonation scams
Protect your login carefully. Revolut’s text-scam guidance says it does not ask for your PIN, card details, or passcodes outside the app. Do not follow unsolicited “outage fix” links, and do not send money to any supposed safe account. Open official channels yourself. We did not observe an outage-specific scam campaign, but the risk of impersonation is real whenever users are worried.
