Walmart’s state list describes Walmart’s own listed sales, not the geographic limit of the full Kayem recall. If a state or store does not appear on Walmart’s page, that does not prove a particular product is unaffected. This is a source-scope comparison, not proof that all Kayem goods or every store are affected.

Source-scope comparison

  • Walmart-specific distribution: Walmart’s current recall page lists select stores in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont. That page is describing where Walmart says recalled items were sold through its own channels, and it states its notice list is not all-inclusive. It does not mean every Walmart in those states had the product, and it does not define the full recall scope. https://corporate.walmart.com/recalls
  • FSIS overall recall: The USDA FSIS bulletin says the Kayem ready-to-eat meat and poultry products may have been exposed to temperature abuse during storage, and that shipments went to retail and foodservice locations nationwide and to Hong Kong. FSIS advises consumers not to eat recalled products and to discard them or return them to the place of purchase. If illness is a concern, contact a healthcare provider. https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/USFSIS/bulletins/42f8d37 ; official FSIS source page: https://www.fsis.usda.gov/recalls-alerts/kayem-foods-inc--recalls-meat-and-poultry-products-due-possible-temperature-abuse
  • Kayem exact product identification: Kayem says consumers should identify products by brand, item description, UPC, and lot code, and use its recalled-product list for matching. Its notice provides a contact number and email for questions during business hours. That is the most specific place to compare a package against the company’s own recall details. https://www.kayemfoods.com/kayem-foods-voluntary-product-recall-october-2026

How to compare your package without guessing

Use the retailer page only as a distribution clue, not as a safety verdict. Then check the package against Kayem’s exact identifiers and the FSIS bulletin. A missing label match, an empty search result, or a state not named on a retailer page is not proof of safety. If you are unsure, do not consume the product until you get a private clarification from the retailer or Kayem.

If you have the package, write down the retailer and purchase date, the product and brand name, the UPC exactly as printed, the lot or date codes exactly as printed, the source and date you consulted, and the unresolved question you want to ask the retailer or Kayem directly. Do not rely on memory alone.
