Photo contact sheet

Turn a small image selection into one numbered overview. Keep the whole photo visible or crop thumbnails to fill the grid.

JPEG, PNG or static WebP. Up to 20 files, 10 MiB each and 40 MiB combined. Images above 25 megapixels are rejected after decoding. Use smaller copies on memory-limited devices.

Files and settings stay in this page’s memory. No upload, account or saved history. Clear or reload releases the selection. The PNG includes its visible title and filename labels. The optional HTML review includes the sheet and complete filenames even when PNG labels or extensions are hidden. Check before sharing.

Review a set of images together

A contact sheet places small versions of several images into a single overview. It can help you compare product shots, choose photographs or discuss a selection by reference number. Choose local files, set the number of columns and press Build contact sheet. The app draws a new PNG; it does not edit or overwrite your source files.

Try the sample

Load sample images to create three simple coloured pictures inside your browser. With three columns, they appear on one row and receive reference numbers 1–3. Choose two columns to place the third picture on a second row. These samples are illustrations for checking the controls, not photographs or examples of a client project.

Choose a useful layout

Whole image fits each picture inside a 260 × 180 pixel thumbnail area with a neutral background. Fill box crops equally around the centre to cover that area, so edges can disappear. Choose Whole image when the complete composition matters. The output uses fixed pixel dimensions, a 20 pixel gutter and enough rows for the selected images. Increasing columns makes a wider, shorter sheet; it does not increase thumbnail detail.

Reference numbers follow the chosen output order. File picker order is the order supplied by your browser, which can differ from a folder’s display order. Filename sorting uses a fixed text comparison, with the original order retained for ties. It is not a natural numeric sort: image10 can appear before image2. The inventory below the preview lists the full filenames for the current output order.

Labels and downloading

Show filenames adds a short label beneath each thumbnail. Long names are shortened visually to fit; the inventory retains the complete names. Hide filename extensions removes only the final extension from the visible label. Reference numbers remain present even when filenames are hidden. An optional title is drawn above the grid.

Download PNG saves the generated sheet using your browser’s normal download controls. Review the preview before sharing it: titles and filenames may reveal information, and the image content remains visible. Clearing this page does not delete a PNG you already downloaded. No sharing or transmission is performed by this app.

Send the full filename index with the overview

Download HTML + full filenames saves one self-contained review file. Open it in a browser to see the same numbered PNG overview and the complete filename list in output order. This can help a recipient refer to a long filename that was shortened on the image. It needs no account, originals or internet connection, and contains no scripts or response collection.

The HTML always includes full filenames, including extensions, even if you hid them on the PNG. Titles, filenames and image content can reveal information: inspect the file before sharing. Reference numbers match this particular sheet; duplicate filenames remain possible and are not unique identifiers. The file contains thumbnail pixels rather than original photos. Changing the selection or settings clears both old download links. Clearing this app does not delete files already saved.

Image and output limits

The tool accepts JPEG, PNG and WebP files that your browser can decode. RAW camera files, HEIC, SVG, GIF and PDF are not supported. Use static images; animated PNG or WebP may show only a browser-selected frame and are not animation previews. Transparent areas are flattened onto the sheet background. Colour handling and orientation depend on the browser; check the result if a camera image appears rotated or colours differ.

File and pixel limits keep the work bounded, but decoding a compressed image can still use substantial memory before its dimensions are checked. Resize unusually large images first and use smaller batches on a phone. A damaged or unsupported image rejects the whole build rather than silently omitting it. Changing files or settings clears the old output, so a download cannot accidentally use a stale layout.

This output is a screen-resolution overview, not a colour proof, archival backup or print-layout guarantee. It does not preserve source metadata, assign a physical paper size, generate PDF pages or retain editable projects. Keep your originals separately and check print settings in the software you use to print the PNG.
